Ke$ha: VMA Noms Are 'Blowing My Mind'
'I'm getting more and more nervous,' 'Tik Tok' singer says of finding out whether she'll take home a Moonman.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jayson Rodriguez
Ke$ha is ready to storm the VMAs on Sunday to see if she can turn any of her three nominations into Moonmen. The "Tik Tok" singer — who is up for Best Female Video, Best New Artist and Best Pop Video — is not only feeling some pre-show jitters, she's still floored by the fact that she's up for any awards at all.
"I'm getting more and more nervous," she told MTV News on Saturday in Los Angeles, where she performed at the 2010 MTV VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat. "To be nominated at all has been just crazy. It's still kind of blowing my mind."
And there's a bit of fear in there as well. "I'm a little terrified about it still," she continued. "It's amazing really to be recognized for things I've written, really just being honest. And now I'm being nominated for three VMAs for that."
While she faces stiff competition across the board, she admits that her toughest rival might be Justin Bieber, who's also nominated for Best New Artist. "It's gonna be hard taking the Biebs down," she explained. "It's gonna be hard, but my fans — we can do it!"
Ke$ha may have a wild rep, but she only has nice things to say about the ladies she's facing in the Best Female Video category. "Gaga and Beyoncé and Taylor Swift — everybody in there I respect, so it's kind of like I have no disses to throw," she said. "That's a tough category."
Tune in tonight for the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles! The party starts with MTV News' VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You can still vote for Best New Artist at VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if you're a Verizon subscriber).

Lindsay Lohan: Being Treated at the Betty Ford Center
Confirming previous rumors, it is being reported that Lindsay Lohan is receiving the help she needs at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California.
Having checked into the famous drug rehabilitation clinic on Monday (September 27), the "Machete" actress is hoping to overcome her addiction woes - as well as her jail sentence for probation violation.
Lindsay is expected to be a resident at the treatment center at least until October 22, when she's due in court to face the consequences of her two failed drug tests.
Costing $26,000 for a 30 day stay, LiLo joins David Hasselhoff, Anna Nicole Smith, Keith Urban, Elizabeth Taylor, Gary Busey and Ozzy Osbourne as a celebrity guest at the Betty Ford Center.

Japan Should Name Everything
America's national embarrassment (or treasure, depending on who you ask) has made its way over to the magical land of Japan, because there's a whole group of people there who have yet to experience herpes of the eyes and the pharmaceutical companies have bills to pay, dammit! So, of course, they can't call that mess Jersey Shore, because the Japanese have no idea what that is. And I guess Syphilis Shore and Jacuzzi Full of Kamikaze Barf doesn't really translate, so they went with, "MTV Jersey Shore?????????????????????" which translates into "MTV Jersey Shore -- the New Jersey life of macaroni rascals." MACARONI RASCALS!
This is the best thing to come out of Jersey Shore since the duck phone! CNNGo explains the name:
Our only guess is that the folks at MTV were looking for a way to translate the Italian-American epithet 'guido' and stumbled upon something more Japanese but equally un-PC. Since this is a family website, we translated 'yaro' (??) as 'rascals' but the pejorative word can take on much more R-rated nuances.According to Twitter user Daniel Feit, for all the strangeness of MTV Japan's translation, the term "macaroni rascals" does appear in the Japanese subtitles of the 1972 film "The Godfather." Someone in Programming apparently did their homework.
Macaroni Rascals sounds like the name of some backyard gang Chef Boyardee was in when he was just a little meatball. Macaroni Rascals is also the name of a dirty sex fetish Brit Brit gets into when Daddy Spears is away. When Kirstie Alley's kids come home and wonder who ate their leftover lasagna from The Olive Garden, you know who she blames it on? Yup, the MACARONI RASCALS!
If The Real Housewives ever make it over Japan, I wonder what they will call that mess. Silicone Scoundrels? Foreclosure Fatales?

Lindsay Lohan's 'Inferno' Director Admits 'Exasperation'
'But there is a tremendous gift underneath all the obvious baggage,' Matthew Wilder tells MTV News of jailed leading lady.

Lindsay Lohan's return to jail on Friday (September 24) as a result of a probation violation has no doubt put another kink in the problem-plagued actress' attempts to revive a once-thriving career. Specifically, production on the Linda Lovelace biopic, "Inferno," which was set to begin filming in November, may be hampered by the ongoing legal troubles of its leading lady.
Still, "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder, who has been unyielding in his support for his star, said the show will go on — with Lohan.
"We love her. We want her to do well," Wilder wrote in a statement e-mailed to MTV News. "We will make the picture shortly."
Wilder added that the film will now shoot in Los Angeles instead of Louisiana, as was originally planned. "I think [it] will make things easier on the Lindsay front," he said. "I understand people's exasperation," Wilder admitted, referring to the former Disney darling's string of questionable life choices over the last few years. "I share it. But there is a tremendous gift underneath all the obvious baggage."
During Lohan's hearing on Friday, Judge Elden Fox did not hear any testimony from Lohan's lawyers before denying the 24-year-old "Mean Girls" star bail and ordering her to report to jail. Lohan was reportedly handcuffed in court before being taken into custody, meaning she could be behind bars until the next hearing in the case, scheduled for October 22.
According to the conditions of her post-rehab release, Lohan could spend 30 days in jail. She served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence in July over a probation violation from a pair of 2007 DUI cases; she subsequently spent 23 days in a rehab facility, serving less than one third of her 90-day court-ordered sentence.
Are you surprised that Lindsay's "Inferno" director is standing by her? Tell us in the comments.
